My Roadside Attraction is a rather sad one: it is about life tatt has been alive, but is now gone; a family that hopefully lived happily together here, is gone. May be that life was a struggle, but anyway, we can hope there was love as well
I wrote about this house in May -11.
We have been driving past the house for years, we have seen it suffering, without anybody living inside. First, the people moved out, or may be died. Then somebody started to throw stones at one window, then at all of them. Now it is totally blinded, almost dead. People need houses, but houses need people as well. Without living life in a house, it will die. Somethimes we have been thinking of adopting the house, move it and give it the love it needed. What did the owners think, why did they not save the house? It must have been a beautiful house when it was new. A lot of labour, a lot of work; the house was built because someone needed it. One day it was finished, a family moved in. Children were borned, they learned their school lessons at the kitchen table. Lace curtains in the windows, wet socks drying over the stove. May be somebody have died in the house. Now everything is gone. It is very, very sad.

Blondegardiner i finstua. Liv. Nå er det dødt. Hva skjedde? Det er så forferdelig trist.
